Who I am and What I’m Doing
I am the department head for Search Marketing at a boutique agency. I manage strategies for both earned (organic) and paid search channels for clients across an broad swathe of industries. With 6+ years’ experience in digital marketing, a technical background in website design and development, and strong content writing skills, I help position my clients for success in an increasingly internet-centric economy.
How I Got Here
My career start wasn’t a straight shot into digital marketing. In fact, I went to university and then post-graduate to become an art museum curator. However, after my first job at a San Francisco art gallery, where my primary responsibility was redesigning the gallery’s website, I realized that my strengths were more…digitally inclined.
So I went back to school. I received further education in web design and development, graphic design, and marketing. And I reentered the job market as a newly fledged digital marketer. Since then, my eclectic skills—attention to detail, data-driven approach to decision-making, and a self-proclaimed eye for design—have helped me tackle a variety of challenges with flexibility and confidence.
I love seeing how cause and effect works in the world of search engine optimization and marketing. For example, a tweak to a service page’s content today resulting in 40% traffic uplift 3 months from now. More importantly, I love helping my client’s reach the people who need what they have to offer most. My clients’ success is my success.
Where I’m Looking to Go Next
While I am quite content at my current agency position, I never turn down a challenge, especially if there’s an opportunity to position myself where I can have a direct impact on success and revenue. I am always open to discuss opportunities for growth.
